There are a lot of types of people who work at the Statehouse, and the overwhelming majority of them get an unfairly negative characterization. Sure, there are some people who don’t play by the rules or who are only out for themselves, but they are in the minority.
The SC House Republican Caucus is losing one of the really good ones as its communications director Jason Zacher moves from one side of the ropes to the other – becoming the new VP of Public Policy for the Greenville Chamber.
Jason’s departure will be felt by the House GOP, but the Statehouse lobby is gaining another advocate who is good to his word, is a true professional, and who has an incredibly solid understanding of politics, policy, and common sense.
When the General Assembly returns in January, it’s going to be great having Jason in the lobby.
We wish Jason the best of luck in his new position and look forward to having him join our club.
